Upgrading Verastream Host Integrator from Evaluation to Licensed Product
Technical Note 40033
Last Reviewed 23-Feb-2007
Applies To
Verastream Host Integrator version 6.0 or higher
Summary

This technical note describes how to upgrade a time-limited evaluation of Verastream Host Integrator (VHI) version 6.0 or higher to full licensed product.

Note: The steps vary depending on whether you are using a Windows or UNIX operating system.

Upgrading VHI from an Evaluation Copy to a Licensed Copy on Windows

To upgrade VHI from an evaluation product to the same version of licensed product on Windows, you do not need to uninstall the evaluation copy before installing the licensed copy. The licensed copy of VHI will automatically detect and upgrade the evaluation copy.

Note: If you are evaluating an earlier version of VHI, follow the steps in Technical Note 40031 titled "Upgrading to Host Integrator 6.5 in a Windows Environment" to upgrade to a licensed copy of VHI.

Upgrading VHI from an Evaluation Copy to a Licensed Copy on UNIX

To upgrade VHI from an evaluation copy to a licensed copy on UNIX, follow the steps described in Technical Note 40030 titled "Upgrading to Host Integrator 6.5 in a Linux/UNIX Environment."
