Summary
This technical note lists the product enhancements in Reflection Administrator 2008 R2, as well as those originally included in R1.
New Features in Reflection Administrator 2008
Reflection Administrator 2008 R2 includes the following new features:
- Custom login page creation.
You can create your own login/links list page and store it separately from the installed default. The page can have any custom content desired, including graphics, links, or JavaScript.

- INFOConnect sessions can be launched from Reflection Administrator.
INFOConnect sessions can be configured and launched from Reflection Administrator. This lets you centrally manage and deploy INFOConnect settings files. You can connect INFOConnect sessions through the Reflection Security Proxy.
New Features in Reflection Administrator 2008
Reflection Administrator 2008 R1 includes the following feature:
- Links List enhancements.
Users can make, sort, and group sessions according to their own preferences.
Additional features in Reflection Administrator:
- Centralized management
- Remote or local administration
- Usage metering to audit and control access to Windows-based host sessions
- Session manager tool for creating Windows-based Reflection sessions
- Authentication and access control management
- Ability to deploy Windows sessions for Microsoft Active Directory users
- Enhanced security in Reflection for IBM, HP, and Unix and OpenVMS:
- Support for SSL with RSA and DSS/Diffie-Hellman standards
- Support for Triple-DES encryption
- Secure LDAP support
- Ability to integrate Reflection with the BEA AquaLogic Interaction (formerly called Plumtree) and BEA WebLogic portals
- Ability to use SiteMinder to authenticate Reflection for the Web with a single sign-on process
- Four languages available: English, French, German, and Japanese
- Extensive HTML-based help
