Upgrading NFS from an Evaluation Copy to a Licensed Copy
Technical Note 1678
Last Reviewed 24-Mar-2005
Applies To
Reflection NFS Client version 11.0 or higher
Summary

This technical note describes how to upgrade from an evaluation copy of Reflection NFS Client to a licensed copy.

Moving from an Evaluation Copy to a Licensed Copy

To move from an evaluation copy of Reflection NFS Client to a licensed copy, you must uninstall the evaluation copy, restart the computer, install the licensed copy, and then restart the computer.

After installing the licensed copy of NFS, your mapped NFS drives will be restored; however, the mapped drive properties will be reset to the product defaults. There is currently no way to migrate NFS settings from an evaluation copy to a licensed copy.

Warning: Do not install a licensed copy of Reflection NFS Client over an evaluation copy (without first uninstalling the evaluation copy). Doing so results in two Reflection NFS entries in Add/Remove Programs. If either of these entries is subsequently removed, NFS will no longer function. Also, evaluation copies of Reflection NFS Client cannot be patched or upgraded.
