When deploying a Verastream model to a remote Session Server (using activatemodel command in version 5.5, or Add Model button in Administrative WebStation in version 5.0 and earlier), or opening a model in the Design Tool you may receive the error "[setting] - Invalid predefined constant name." This technical note explains how to resolve this error.

About the Error

You may receive the error "...[setting] - Invalid predefined constant name." in either of the following instances:

  • When deploying a Verastream model to a remote Session Server using the activatemodel command (in version 5.5) or the Add Model button (in Administrative WebStation in version 5.0 and earlier).

This error is displayed when you attempt to deploy or open a model that was saved with a newer version of the Verastream Design Tool.

Resolving the Error
