Technical Note 10027
Last Reviewed 03-May-2007
Applies To
Verastream Host Integrator version 6.0 or earlier
Summary

When accessing Verastream Host Integrator (VHI) Administrative WebStation using Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7.0, you may see a warning message, "Internet Explorer 5.0 is not an officially supported browser...".

Symptom

On the Administrative WebStation login page, you may see a red warning message as follows:

Internet Explorer 5.0 is not an officially supported browser for the Administrative Webstation. Please upgrade to Internet Explorer 5.5 for optimal performance.

Explanation

VHI version 6.0 or earlier improperly identifies Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7.0 as version 5.0. There are no known issues accessing Administrative WebStation version 6.0 or earlier with Internet Explorer version 7.0.

When using a supported web browser, this advisory warning message can be ignored. For a complete list of supported web browsers and platforms, see Technical Note 10030.

Note: This issue is resolved in Host Integrator version 6.5. Product upgrades are available to current maintained customers in the Attachmate Download Library. For more information about using the Download Library, see Technical Note 0200.
