How to Determine the Version of Host Integrator

To determine the version of Verastream Host Integrator, follow the steps below for the product component you are using.

Development Kit Version

  1. Start the VHI Design Tool.
  2. Click Help > About Verastream Design Tool.

Server Kit Version

  1. Start the VHI Administrative WebStation console.

Local Windows installation: Use the Administrative WebStation shortcut installed in the Start programs folder.

Local UNIX installation: Use a web browser to open <vhi>/bin/VHI_Administrative_WebStation_Login.html where <vhi> represents your Verastream Host Integrator installation directory.

Remote system: In a web browser, open http://<hostname>:9642/apptrieve where <hostname> represents the system running the Verastream Host Integrator Administrative WebStation service.

  1. Login using an administrator or developer profile.
  2. On the left menu, click Servers > [your server] > Server Configuration > Server Properties. The server version is listed in the right-hand pane.

COM/.NET/C Connector API Version

  1. Locate the appropriate file(s):
    • WRQ.Verastream.HostIntegrator.dll (.NET)
    • appconncom.dll (COM/.NET in version 6.5; COM only in version 6.6)
    • appconn.dll (COM/C in version 5.0 and earlier; COM/.NET/C in versions 5.5 through 6.0; C only in version 6.5 and higher)
  1. Right-click the file and click Properties.
  2. On the Version tab, examine the File Version.

Java Connector API Version

  1. Locate your apptrieve.jar file.
  2. Using WinZip or a similar utility, open the .jar file.
  3. View the contents of the Manifest.mf file (using a text editor). Beginning in version 6.6, the product version is in the Specification-Version line.
  4. If no version is present in the Manifest file, examine the date stamps of files within the .jar file.Compare the dates to the official release dates shown in the table above.

Verastream Interface for Microsoft BizTalk Server

Beginning in version 6.5, the BizTalk interface uses the Development Kit or Server Kit version (and is automatically installed when Microsoft BizTalk Server is detected).

For earlier versions (with interface installed separately), open the version.txt file in your <VHI>\BizTalk2004 or <VHI>\BizTalk2004\SchemaBuilder installation directory. Version 1.0.80 (dated April 2005) released with Host Integrator version 6.0. The prior shipping release was version 1.0.70.
