Fix

The certificate request can be created by using Attachmate® e-Vantage® Key Pair Generator.  The Attachmate e-Vantage Key Pair Generator can be downloaded from the Download Library..  Public/Private Key Pair Generator Instructions

Purpose:
- This utility is designed to create two files used for public/private key encryption.
- The private key file is used for encrypting and must be kept secure.
- The public key file is used for decrypting messages previously encrypted with the private key.
- The public key can be used to obtain a security certificate from a Certificate Authority, such as VeriSign or Thawte.  

How to use Utility:

1. Download and install the KeyGenerator archive to a local directory.

   The following files should be present in the directory.
           KEYCREATE.EXE
           MFC42.DLL
           Tcpres.dll
           Tcputil.dll
           README.TXT

2. Launch the KEYCREATE.EXE.

3. Fill in the information as outlined below:

Key Label:      Key's Label. Generated files will have the same name.
Seed Value:      Used to generate random values for creating keys.
Private Key Filename: Private Key filename with REQ extension.
Public Key Filename:  Public Key filename with PEM extension.
Key Size:      Bit encryption used.
Common name:      Host name. Default is machine upon which utility is run.
Organization:      Organization name.
Organization Unit:    Sub Unit within the Organization.
Locality:      Locality, such as City or County name.
State/Province        State or Province name.
Country               Country name.

4. Click OK. Two files are generated and saved to the directory in which the KEYCREATE.EXE was run, these include the .PEM (Private Key) and .REQ (Public Key/Certificate Request). It will then be necessary to submit the Public Key to your Certificate Authority.
