Symptoms
Unable to open database table because of invalid serial numberFix
This error is generated by the ICDB32.DLL library accessing the INFOConnect database. Uninstall Infoconnect completely. This error can occur in paticular when an old Infoconnect installation has not been properly removed.Warning: Proceed with extreme caution when editing the Windows Registry. 1. From add/remove programs, Uninstall Infoconnect.
2. Using the registry editor remove the hkey_current_user and hkey_local_machine entrys for Infoconnect and Attachmate. Typically, these will entries are located in the Software\Unisys\INFOConnect32 registry hive.
Do a search for the following files and delete them:
ICAAPI32.DLL
ICABT32.DLL
ICDB32.DLL
ICMCFG32.DLL
ICMGR32.DLL
ICUTIL32.DLL
INSMGR32.CFG
3. Search for any instances of ICDB32.DLL and IC32.CFG that may be in your path. If any are found, rename the files.
4. Shut Down and restart Windows.
5. Reinstall INFOConnect.
